16 November 2009 Pre-conference seminar - PAS 55 Masterclass
Beyond PAS 55- Effective risk based Asset Management
Excelling at Asset Management, lays the foundations for business performance. Increased pressure from regulators and customers, compounded by the impact of the credit crunch require businesses to demonstrate effective risk based approaches to the management of assets.
Over the last years PAS 55 has quickly gained the attention of regulators and major utility companies throughout Europe. Both OFGEM and OFWAT have given their support to PAS 55 and there is a growing number of companies adopting PAS 55 recognising asset management excellence as a critical element of their business process.
However meeting the criteria of PAS 55 is only the formal path to certification. The real challenge for utilities lies in securing risk based asset management in the entire organization, from Strategy to Operations.
